Meet Howard Dobbins – Charleston Native | 2X ICON Agent | Broker | Mentor

Born and raised in Charleston, I don’t just work in the Lowcountry—I know it. The neighborhoods, the growth patterns, the hidden gems… this is home.

I’ve been in real estate since 2004, helping buyers, sellers, and investors make smart moves with confidence. In 2008, after selling our family-owned dry-cleaning business, I went all-in on real estate—and never looked back. Best decision my wife Jane and I ever made.

Before real estate, I spent over 20 years with Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company and Bi-Lo supermarkets, working my way from bagger to management and a ownership stake in one of my stores. In 2001 I purchased and operated a multi-location dry-cleaning business with retail stores, a laundromat, and delivery routes. That background and the supermarket business built the foundation I still use today: discipline, customer service, and knowing how to solve problems when things get messy.

Family is everything to me. My wife Jane is an RN Case Manager, and we’re proud parents of three driven kids:

Andy and his wife Crystal (MBA, Citadel grad) are raising our two granddaughters, Emma and Olivia—aka the energy in the room

Adam earned his MBA while playing championship-level college football

Jessica is a Dr of Physical Therapy

I’ve also spent 19 years coaching youth sports—from rec basketball to high school football at Bishop England. Coaching taught me leadership, accountability, and how to bring out the best in people—skills I bring into every client relationship.
